Description

Want to know more about our upcoming Forest School Leader Training course? Join us for 3 hours in the forest where you will gain knowledge of what the course entails, meet likeminded people and try some practical skills.

During this event, you will:

  • Enjoy Fire and Hot Drinks: Start the day around a fire with refreshments.
  • Take Part in a Fireside Discussion and Q&A: Learn about forest school principles, ask questions, and gain insights from experienced leaders.
  • Participate in Woodland Games: Experience how play-based learning fosters teamwork, creativity, and a deeper connection with nature.
  • Explore practical skills: Develop hands-on skills as you practice using tools and outdoor kit.

This taster day is designed to help you explore the fundamentals of Forest School, meet peers and decide if our Forest School Leader Training Program is right for you.

The meeting point is at the bridle path on the right hand side of the Boundary Road carpark for Bidston Hill here. You will see a large Grow-Wellbeing display board and a staff member will meet you there and take you down to our forest site.

Please arrive in plenty of time so that we can start the session promptly.

Make sure to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear as our sessions are all outdoors and will continue even in inclement conditions. We will only cancel if strong winds make the woodland site unsafe.
