A taster session for young people interested in a career in farming / horticulture. We want to welcome you to the field for a series of short taster days. These volunteer days are open to anyone interested in working outside and getting their hands dirty. Jobs will be varied and physical, and will include weeding, planting, seed sowing and more. Be prepared for all weathers and hard work! 11am - Arrival for volunteering 1pm-1.30pm - Lunch 2pm - Home time! Please bring your own lunch, snacks and appropriate footwear and waterproofs. If you have none please let us know so we can ensure we have your size available! We look forward to meeting you!

Hello! We're a farm based in Gower growing mixed veg for 130 families locally. We'd love to offer some taster sessions for young people looking to learn more about farming and to see if this is a career for you! The work is hard, but rewarding. Jobs include weeding, sowing, planting and much more.

Cae Tan 

Cae Tan CSA is a Community Supported Agriculture Project based on The Gower Peninsula in South Wales. We grow and supply fresh, seasonal produce 130 families weekly and all year round. We grow on 10 acres using tractor machinery and hand-scale tools, growing a variety of vegetables. 

We also offer training and volunteering opportunities to a range of groups and individuals. We work with local schools and community groups to raise awareness of sustainable farming, reconnecting people to the land & their food.

The Green Careers project is a new project in South Wales that helps young people build skills, confidence, and real job opportunities, in the growing green economy. Funded by sustainable steps Wales
