Mental Health through the Youth Lens

A Children's Mental Health Week Special!

When: Monday 9th February 2-4.30pm

FYA Youth Facilitators are back with their Mental Health Through The Youth Lens interactive workshop to support professionals on ways to explore the topic of mental health with young people and provide a space to connect about the theme.

Last summer, 8 young people came together to co-produce a very special session for professionals to explore the topic of mental health through a youth lens. Combined with their ideas of what they want you to know, creative activities from FYA youth led mental health focused sessions from our peer support programmes, and through discussions and exploration, an interactive workshop has been produced and we are excited for you to explore with us!

If you are a professional working with young people and are looking for something a little different for Children's Mental Health Week, this is a great workshop with youth voices at the heart!

Highlights will include

• Exploring mental health together including the 2026 theme - "This is my place"
• Wellbeing Wisdom - What young people want professionals to know
• Creative ways to discuss mental health related topics with young people
• What's on our minds when it comes to mental health? Youth voice and lens
• Meeting other youth organisations to explore these topics together in community!

This event will take place in the FYA Warren Centre. Please not unfortunately this venue is not step free.

We are offering this event for free but would welcome any donations to our charity so we can continue to share our learning with as many professionals as we can and bring people together. We will share a donations link at the end of the session.
