South Tyneside's Care academy offers different training and courses aimed for individuals either in Social care roles, or looking to find pathways into Health and Social Care. This training is also provided through Training in Care.

South Tyneside Council offer online E-learning training which covers both adult and children safeguarding subjects, through their virtual college. Various safeguarding topics covering sexual exploitation, vulnerable groups, mental health, understanding capacity, how to manage disclosures, and ranges from Levels 1-3.
