Description

Wellbeing Wednesdays - A Reflection and Connection series

Welcome to Wellbeing Wednesdays! A monthly space for youth professionals to come together once a month online to access peer support from other professionals pan London, celebrate successes, troubleshoot challenges, share and learn from one another.

These will be open sessions for you to bring what's on your mind to speak through or to be a listening ear and support other colleagues, feel heard and validated. You can attend one session or all, a no pressure place to take some time to connect and reflect.

These sessions will have a light structure of a check in and often a theme, but will be led by what participants want to share. Each session will finish with a check-out.

If a theme below doesn't connect with you at the time, you are still very welcome to come and join to share what's coming up for you that Wellbeing Wednesday, to connect and reflect!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and the theme is Take Action: For yourself, for someone else, for all of us. We will share how this can apply to us as Youth Professionals and what we can do to support taking action for our mental health and the communities we support.

June Reflect and Connect will take place during Loneliness Awareness Week. We can use the space to speak about the impact of loneliness of the communities we work with and also our selves and how best we can come together as a community of support and build our networks.

July 15th is World Youth Skills Day - we will mark the day by doing a skills share session exchanging ideas and activities we have used in youth work that support us to help young people build their skills, speak about tips and tricks that enhance youth employability and development.

*Please note that these online spaces are not therapy based, places to discuss safeguarding concerns or a replacement for professional support, but peer led. Signposting may be shared to support youth practitioners who may need extra support.

Join us to meet and network with other youth professionals in the capital and to take some time to reflect and connect! Any questions about this series E:abbie.mitchell@fya.org.uk
