SEND Multi-Sports, Arts & Creative Camp

Exciting • Engaging • Inclusive • Nurturing

The Enrichment Hub SEND Holiday Camp provides a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can have fun, build confidence, develop new skills and make friends.

Our programme is packed with activities including multi-sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, games and creative activities. Our aim is simple: to nurture, support and inspire every child who attends.

How We Support Children with SEND

Inclusive Activities

Activities are designed to support a range of abilities and interests. Where appropriate, activities, equipment and resources will be adapted to help children participate successfully.

Experienced & Trauma-Informed Staff

Our staff have experience supporting children with additional needs and use nurturing and trauma-informed approaches. Staff encourage positive interactions, confidence, independence and relationships with peers.

Quiet & Calming Spaces

Children who become overwhelmed can access designated quieter areas to take a break, regulate and prepare to rejoin activities when they are ready.

Visual Timetables & Structure

Visual timetables, clear routines, reminders and transition support are used to help children understand what is happening throughout the day and reduce anxiety around change.

Clear Communication with Families

We work with parents and carers to understand each child's needs, strengths, preferences, behaviours and successful support strategies.

Adapted Games & Resources

Sports, games and creative activities can be adapted where reasonably possible to support children with physical, communication, sensory or additional needs.

Flexible Participation

Children will be encouraged to take part in the main programme while being supported to participate at a level that is appropriate and comfortable for them.

Important SEND Support & Eligibility Information

To keep all children safe and ensure we can appropriately meet their needs, please read the following carefully before registering:

Staffing Ratio – Maximum Support of 1:3

Our SEND provision operates with staffing of up to 1 adult to 3 children (1:3).

A 1:3 staffing ratio does not mean that a member of staff will remain continuously with the same three children throughout the day or provide constant individual supervision.

We do not provide dedicated 1:1 support or continuous individual supervision.

Toileting & Personal Care

Children attending the camp must be fully independent with toileting and their personal care needs.

Our staff do not provide toileting, changing or intimate care.

Tell Us About Your Child's Needs

It is essential that parents and carers provide us with full and accurate information about their child's needs before a place can be confirmed.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Level of supervision required
  • Behaviour and emotional regulation needs
  • Risk of leaving or running from the group or setting
  • Communication needs
  • Sensory needs and known triggers
  • Toileting and personal care needs
  • Medical or physical needs relevant to attending the camp
  • Any requirement for 1:1 or continuous supervision
  • Strategies that are known to help keep your child safe and regulated

This information allows us to make an informed assessment of whether we can safely and appropriately meet your child's needs within our staffing model and setting.

We will consider reasonable adjustments wherever possible to support a child's participation.

However, where, after considering the information provided and reasonable adjustments, we determine that we are unable to safely meet a child's needs within the provision, we may be unable to offer a place.

We also reserve the right to cancel or withdraw a booking, including after a child has started attending, if it becomes apparent that their level of support or supervision cannot safely be provided within our staffing model.

Providing accurate information at registration is therefore essential for the safety and wellbeing of your child, other children and our staff.
