Description

Ages 11-16

In the second week of our Youth Summer Theatre programme, we will be creating a show in just 5 days! We will be fusing global folktales with more local urban legends and quirky family stories, to create a rich and diverse celebration of stories from around the world. We will work quickly to put together a brand-new show, complete with original music and lyrics. The first day will involve getting to know each other and sharing and exploring stories. We will quickly decide on key scenes and characters that day, and build the show from there. You will learn about ensemble devising, characterisation, storytelling, singing, dancing and so much more as we work towards a final show in Bernie Grant Arts Centre’s incredible theatre.

And if you want more from your summer, why not sign up to Week 1 of our Youth Summer programme? You can take part in a series of special masterclasses from guest artists – and then use your newfound skills in Week 2!

A hot meal is provided daily.
