Supporting Communities delivers Mobile Youth Provision across Stockbrook , bringing youth services directly into local communities through our purpose-built mobile youth vehicle. Funded by the Derby & Derbyshire Violence Reduction Unit (VRU), the project provides safe, accessible spaces where young people aged 8–17 can take part in positive activities, build trusted relationships, and access support close to where they live.

Our experienced youth workers engage young people through games, sports, creative activities, wellbeing conversations, and informal education, creating opportunities to build confidence, resilience, and life skills. The mobile provision offers a welcoming environment where young people can socialise safely, receive guidance from trusted adults, and access early intervention support when needed.

The project aims to reduce the risk factors associated with youth violence, exploitation, and anti-social behaviour by providing positive alternatives, promoting healthy relationships, and helping young people make informed choices. Through regular engagement, we identify emerging needs, provide signposting to specialist services, and support young people to access wider Supporting Communities programmes, including detached youth work, youth sessions, volunteering opportunities, and targeted 1:1 support.
