Youth Provision – Kiwi Park
Funded by Derby City Council Neighbourhood Board
Supporting Communities delivers Youth Sessions across Kiwi Park, providing safe, inclusive, and engaging opportunities for young people aged 8–17 to come together, make friends, learn new skills, and enjoy positive activities within their local community. Funded by the Derby City Council Neighbourhood Board, these sessions have been developed to meet local community priorities and provide positive opportunities that benefit young people and the wider neighbourhood.
Our experienced youth workers deliver a varied programme of activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, wellbeing sessions, team-building challenges, life skills, workshops, and social action projects. Every session provides a safe space where young people can build confidence, improve their wellbeing, develop resilience, and create positive relationships with trusted adults and their peers.
Through these open-access sessions, we aim to reduce social isolation, encourage community participation, and provide early intervention and support for young people who may benefit from additional guidance. Where appropriate, young people can also be signposted into wider Supporting Communities services, including detached youth work, mobile youth provision, volunteering opportunities, and targeted 1:1 support.
