Description

Climate change mitigation gets a lot of attention, but the impacts of climate change are already here and will continue to worsen. So we must adapt to deal with the consequences of climate change.

This workshop teaches a framework to make better decisions

What will we do?

– Learn to define and understands risk, exposure, vulnerability, adaptation, maladaptation.

– Discover the reasons why adaptation is critical.

– A framework to make better choices to avoid maladaptation and maximise co-benefits.

– You will learn about planning pathways for adaptation towards transformative, long-term solutions.

– When you have grasped the framework, we will apply it to examples defined by you.

What will we not do?

– Learn specific adaptation strategies and methods. (You have new strategies to flood-proof your house by the end)
