📍 Komedia Picturehouse, Brighton 🗓 Wednesday 23 April 2026 🚪 Doors open 18:00 | Film starts 18:30 🍸 Join us afterwards at Caccia & Tails for drinks

What's really happening with climate and nature in the UK, and what does it mean for everyday life here in Brighton?

Join us for a free screening of the People's Emergency Briefing, a new film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence on what's changing, why it matters, and what we can do about it.

The film covers: 🌧️ Extreme weather 🍞 Food security 🏥 Health 💷 Cost of living 🌿 Nature loss

Based on the National Emergency Briefing held at Westminster in November 2025, the film features Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and leading voices from across science, economics, health and national security. The event was covered by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times.

After the 45-minute film there will be a short facilitated discussion about what this means for our community and what we can do locally.

We will be inviting Brighton and Hove's MPs and local councillors to join constituents for this important conversation.

Hosted by B Local Brighton, part of a nationwide programme of community screenings taking place across the UK this spring.

Seats are free but limited - please book in advance. Bring a friend, neighbour or family member. Everyone is welcome. 16+
