Thank you for booking into our Acland Burghley Winter Football Camp. Please wear warm, suitable sportswear, trainers and football boots, as players will be playing outdoors and indoors. Please bring a water bottle, a raincoat, and any necessary medication (e.g. epi-pen / inhaler). Thursday and Friday will be on the MUGA pitch rather than the football pitch, so&nbsp;please only bring trainers / Astroturf shoes on Thursday 2nd &amp; Friday 3rd January. This is a no-nut camp. A nutritionally complete meal will be provided for lunch, however, you can bring snacks (no-nuts / fizzy drinks). Please enter via the entrance on Churchill Road. Bloomsbury’s Winter Football Camp is back for 2024 at Acland Burghley! We aim to offer a fun and inclusive camp for kids of all skill levels to stay physically active while having fun over the week Each day of camp focuses on a different fundamental skill (ie. dribbling, passing, defending, shooting) with the week culminating in a tournament day on Friday. Thursday and Friday will be on the MUGA pitch rather than the football pitch, so&nbsp;please only bring trainers / Astroturf shoes on Thursday 2nd &amp; Friday 3rd January. In addition to our standard football offering we also have a number of fun and impactful experiences ranging from football-based art workshops to mental wellbeing discussions with professional footballers. There will be no camp on the 1st January due to bank holiday. A nutritionally complete meal will be provided for lunch.

Cancellations&nbsp;If your child can no longer attend this activity, you must cancel the place as soon as possible. You can do this on the central booking system&nbsp;or by calling&nbsp;us directly. This will give another child the chance to access a funded place. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Special Educational Needs and Disabilities&nbsp;Parents of children with additional needs, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and/or Education Health Care (EHC) plans, must contact the provider directly as soon as possible, to supply them with the relevant information before attending the provision. This is so that the provider can assess how best to support your child. The provider is committed to meeting the needs of all children and young people including those with additional needs and SEND. The provider will use its best endeavours to make sure that a child with additional needs gets the support they need – this means doing everything it can&nbsp;reasonably do to meet the child’s needs.

Anyone attending will be offered a free lunch.<h2>Eligibility</h2>This programme is free to Islington residents who are aged between 4-16 years (up to 18 if they have special educational needs and disability (SEND)), enrolled in school and meet one of the following criteria:<ul><li>qualify for&nbsp;benefits-related&nbsp;Free School Meals (FSM)</li><li>can be&nbsp;referred by a social worker, family support worker or other professional.</li></ul>To book activities, you need to register your child on our booking system. If you have already registered, you do not need to do this again.<h3>Free School Meals</h3>All children in primary schools receive free school meals (FSM) but this does not mean that everyone is eligible for benefits-related FSM. You can find these activities listed on our booking system.If your child is eligible and has a SEND, it is important that you share the details about your child’s needs with the activity provider so they can confirm your child’s place and make reasonable adjustments.<h2>Referring professionals</h2>If you wish to refer a young person, you can either support the family or carer to register the young person on Plinth or you can register and book activities on their behalf.Please note, if your details are on Plinth, you will be the key contact for activity providers. Other activities may only need a small payment. These activities are listed on our booking system as 'fee paying'.If you do attend an activity that is part of our programme, everyone receives a free lunch.&nbsp;<h2>What's on and how to book activities&nbsp;</h2><h3>If your child is not&nbsp;registered</h3><ol><li><a href="https://book.plinth.org.uk/calendar/NYxYlFMJBj9bQ0EmPML7" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(10, 108, 255);">Create an account on Plinth</a>.</li><li>Confirm your email address using the link sent to your email - if you register using a Google or Facebook account, you can skip this step.</li><li>Log in and register your child or children by completing the form.&nbsp;Please make sure the details you provide are correct as it may affect eligibility checks.&nbsp;Use the same name, address and date of birth details for your child that your child’s school has.&nbsp;</li></ol>You will get an email saying you have registered. We will then start checking your child's eligibility. This is done every weekday between 9am and 5pm.We will let you know by email if your child gets a free place.
