Perched on its vantage point high on the South Downs ridge, Uppark commands views as far south as the English Channel. Outside, the intimate gardens are laid mostly to lawn with colourful and scented borders - perfect for picnics! The Wide Glade is now fully accessible after a recent conservation project restored the Repton Paths. To the South of the house is a vast wildflower meadow, sometimes playing host to grazing sheep to keep the ecosystem thriving. There are plenty of spaces to picnic and enjoy the view in your own time. The 17th-century house sits proudly in the centre of the property, a perfect dolls' house! The house is open 3 days a week during the peak season with its Georgian interiors illustrating the comfort of life ‘upstairs’, in contrast with the ‘downstairs’ world of the servants.
