Supporting Communities delivers Mobile Youth Sessions that provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging space for young people aged 8–17. Funded through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund’s Million Hours Fund – Round 3, the project provides additional youth work opportunities in areas experiencing higher levels of anti-social behaviour.
Delivered from our fully equipped Mobile Youth Centre, sessions offer a range of positive activities, including gaming, virtual reality experiences, sports, arts and crafts, and music. Young people have the opportunity to make friends, build confidence, learn new skills, and access support from experienced youth workers.
By bringing services directly into the community, we create positive opportunities for young people, promote wellbeing, and provide a safe place to spend time with friends in a supportive environment.
The mobile provision offers games, creative activities, digital resources, advice, and informal education, while creating positive alternatives to anti-social behaviour. Our experienced youth workers build trusted relationships with young people, offering guidance, early intervention, and support that improves wellbeing, confidence, and resilience.
