Thinking about a job in construction but not sure where to begin? This starter course is the perfect first step.

⭐ What is it?

A relaxed, beginner‑friendly training session that teaches you the basics of staying safe on a construction site. It’s based on the official CITB Health & Safety Awareness course — the one people take before getting their CSCS Labourer Card.

But don’t worry — this version is easier, more flexible, and designed to help you build confidence first.

🧱 Why join?

You’ll learn things like:

• How to stay safe on site
• What PPE is and how to use it
• How to spot hazards
• Fire safety
• Working at height
• How to protect your health at work

It’s all real‑world stuff you’ll actually use.

🎓 What happens next?

Once you finish this starter course, you can choose to move on to the full accredited CITB course — the one that leads to the CSCS card. This gives you a clear progression route into real construction jobs.

You can do the course:

• At the college with a tutor, or
• At your organisation, where we can bring a tutor to you
