This play of OVERHEARD IN A TOWER BLOCK is based on the book OVERHEARD IN A TOWER BLOCK © 2017 written by Joseph Coelho and illustrated by Kate Milner and published by Otter-Barry Books.

A powerful and imaginative coming-of-age drama inspired by award-winning poet Joseph Coelho’s Overheard in a Tower Block. Step into the life of a young boy growing up in the heart of a bustling city tower block.

From the laughter of neighbours to whispered secrets and moments of quiet woe, this story invites you to listen to the rhythms of life in a world filled with challenges and surprises.

Through vivid, thought-provoking poetry brought to life on stage, Joseph Coelho’s words paint a poignant and relatable picture of growing up. With themes of family, friendship, courage and self-discovery, this is a story about finding your way in a world that doesn’t always make sense.

Children attending will be able to choose snacks and a drink from the selection on offer at the Theatre to enjoy during the performance (the ‘snack pack’ contains one drink and 3 snacks of your choice). Each child will also receive a supermarket voucher as part of the lunch offer.

• Register of interest via the Lunch Bunch Plinth system does not guarantee tickets.

• Little Angel Theatre will contact you directly to confirm if you want to go ahead with your booking – If you do not respond to this email within 3 working days your Plinth booking will automatically be cancelled.

• Tickets are not confirmed on Plinth until this process has taken place. Lunch Bunch tickets cannot be booked directly via Little Angel Theatre’s Box Office. 

• All children must be accompanied by an adult. Every child booked via the Lunch Bunch scheme will automatically be assigned one accompanying adult ticket.

• Anyone on the waiting list will be contacted ASAP if tickets become available, but bookings must still be made via the Plinth platform in the first instance and are not guaranteed.
