Author Talk: Beverley Naidoo
The session is set up as an online author talk, with award-winning author Beverley sharing slides to set the context and motivation for her work, reading from her book(s) and taking questions from students. Sessions usually focus on her first novel, Journey to Jo'burg, but can be tailored around another of her works if students have read this in advance. The Other side of Truth or her collection of short stories in Out of Bounds. We can also offer a session for younger readers based around Cinderella of the Nile.
It is important that students have read some of Beverley’s work prior to the session and prepare some questions for her in advance.
Sessions are available by request and subject to finding a mutually convenient date with Beverley. The cost is £195 per session until January 2027. There may be opportunities for a limited number of subsidised sessions for 11 by 11 schools, subject to funding and availability.
All talks are adaptable for KS1, KS2, KS3 & KS4.
