Five days of learning, connection and personal development across three weeks.
Recovery Coaching Scotland’s Self-Coaching Programme is designed for people with lived or living experience of alcohol and drug use who want to build confidence, better understand themselves and their recovery, and develop practical skills they can use in everyday life.
The course provides a supportive and welcoming space to explore recovery, personal strengths, motivation, values, resilience and future goals. It is practical, interactive and built around the principle that people already have strengths, experience and knowledge they can draw upon to create positive change.
The programme can also provide a pathway for people who would like to become more involved in their local recovery community. Participants may have opportunities to progress into volunteering, peer activity and lived experience leadership, including involvement with the developing Dumfries & Galloway Lived Experience Panel.
Course dates
Week 1: Thursday 1 & Friday 2 October 2026
Week 2: Thursday 8 & Friday 9 October 2026
Week 3: Friday 16 October 2026
Participants should be available to attend all five days, as each session builds on the previous week.
