Reed bed maintenance + litter picking

Come out on the water for a community litter-pick and reed bed maintenance in support of E1 Waterbirds. We’ll be working together to clear plastic waste and litter from the canal and reedbed, helping to protect local wildlife and maintain a healthy ecosystem.

Grab a litter-picking bag, hop into a boat and help us make our waterways cleaner, greener and safer for the wildlife that calls them home. It’s a practical way to give back to the local community while enjoying some time on the water.

Confident paddlers with an interest in helping out are welcome. You’ll need to feel comfortable paddling on the canal as we’ll be focusing on the clean-up rather than paddling instruction.

This event is run in partnership with Poplar HARCA and E1 Waterbirds.

Participants must be over 18.
