Livestock is an arts and community development charity.  We run projects that engage with the themes of mental health and wellbeing, focused on individuals personal stories. We enable people to share their histories & experiences to connect and communicate with each other. Our peer support groups use creativity as a tool to empower. We work primarily with mothers and families.

Brighton and Hove

We are Livestock, a community development and education charity established in 2007. Our focus is on supporting mental health and well-being through the arts, and we achieve this through a variety of projects and initiatives. Our projects include Mothers Uncovered, which supports mothers in reconnecting with their true selves through creative, peer-led workshops, and My Birth, specifically designed for new mothers experiencing birth trauma. We also offer support for parents and carers of children with special education needs and disabilities through our Frazzled online sessions, as well as peer-led support for parents of teenagers through our Teen Years program. Additionally, we provide a course called Realise Your Potential, aimed at helping individuals gain confidence and refocus after a career break to raise children. Our mission is to connect, inspire, and entertain, and we achieve this by helping people share their histories and experiences through peer support groups and creative activities.

At Livestock, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the community by providing vital support and resources to various groups. We work with new mothers, parents and carers of children with special needs, and individuals seeking to rebuild their confidence after a career break. Through our projects and initiatives, we aim to foster a sense of connection, inspiration, and entertainment, while also promoting mental well-being and communication through the arts. Our peer-led workshops and support groups enable individuals to share their experiences and find solace in a supportive community. By offering these services, we are contributing to the overall well-being and resilience of the community, ultimately making a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
