Mobile Youth Provision – Amber Valley
Funded by Amber Valley Borough Council
Supporting Communities delivers Mobile Youth Provision across Crossley Park ,Somercotes, Heanor, bringing youth services directly into local communities through our purpose-built mobile youth vehicle. Funded by Amber Valley Borough Council, the project provides a safe, welcoming, and accessible space where young people aged 8–17 can access positive activities, trusted youth workers, and support close to where they live.
Our experienced youth workers deliver a wide range of engaging activities, including sports, games, creative workshops, digital activities, wellbeing sessions, and informal education. The mobile youth provision provides opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop life skills, improve their wellbeing, and form positive relationships with trusted adults and their peers.
By taking youth services directly into neighbourhoods, we remove barriers to participation and engage young people who may not otherwise access traditional youth provision. Alongside fun and engaging activities, our team provides early intervention, advice, guidance, and signposting into wider Supporting Communities services, including detached youth work, youth sessions, volunteering opportunities, and targeted 1:1 support where appropriate.
