Independent Living Support

At Independent Living Support (ILS), we have been dedicated to providing outreach services to vulnerable individuals in Dumfries and Galloway since our founding in 2002. Our holistic approach combines practical and emotional care tailored to the unique needs of each person we serve. We focus on preventing social isolation and addressing complex mental health issues that may arise from trauma, substance misuse, or care experiences. Our services are available to both adults and youth aged 16 and over, delivered through one-on-one support and group activities. By encouraging self-management and resilience, we help individuals transition from merely surviving to actively thriving in their communities.

Through our self-directed support (SDS) model, we empower those we assist to take control of their lives and make informed decisions about their care. Our commitment to fostering independence and well-being has a significant impact on the lives of our clients, as we work diligently to meet their needs in both home and community settings. By providing a safe space for individuals to share their experiences and challenges, we create a supportive environment that promotes growth and recovery. Together, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, ensuring they feel valued and supported in their journey toward independence.
