Petal Power

Petal Power is Sunny Cycles’ sunflower growing campaign - a fun and inclusive way to support accessible cycling.

To take part, start by making a minimum £5 donation on our JustGiving page, then register to enter the competition here in this activity.

Join by planting a sunflower and growing alongside your community. Every sunflower helps raise funds and awareness for Sunny Cycles’ work supporting people of all abilities to cycle.

🌱 How it works

Plant any sunflower seeds (giant, dwarf, yellow, orange - all welcome) between 20 April and 3 May so they bloom around the same time.

📸 Share your results

Submit photos of your sunflower between 10–23 August and take part in our friendly competition.

Categories include:

• Tallest sunflower

• Shortest sunflower

• Furthest away sunflower

• Most interesting place to grow

• Prettiest (traditional & abstract)

• Wild Card

• 🌻 Sunflower of the Season

Everyone - individuals, families, schools, workplaces, care homes and community groups.
