Description

Are you a parent or carer of a child or young person with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Join us for an interactive and informative session with John Morrow, Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester, who will explain the key legal rights and protections that ensure children with SEND get the support they deserve.

This practical talk will cover:

  • Reasonable Adjustments under the Equality Act – what schools must do to make education accessible.
  • Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans – understanding your child’s legal entitlements and how to secure the right support.
  • Legal Avenues of Appeal – what steps you can take if you disagree with decisions about your child’s education or support.

The session will be interactive, with opportunities to ask questions and discuss real-life experiences.

Come along to gain confidence in understanding the law, learn how to advocate effectively for your child, and connect with others navigating the SEND system.
