Young K&C is a dynamic cross-sector partnership, creating a community of member and partner organisations working together to support children and young people.

We want all children and young people in Kensington and Chelsea to have access to inspiring, local opportunities to help them pursue their ambitions and be part of their community.

The Rising Voices Network aims to provide an empowering space where emerging leaders from Global Majority (people from Black, Brown and minoritised ethnicities) backgrounds can come together, share experiences, and work collaboratively to disrupt entrenched inequities.&nbsp; Aimed at service delivery providers and those at middle management, the Network responds directly to the needs of Global Majority people working in the play and youth sector. In this session, we will cover:<ul><li>Reflections and learning from each others experience</li><li>A workshop on confidence building led by Paul Ryan, CEO of Chelsea Theatre</li><li>Preparing and planning for mentoring and wellness opportunities</li></ul> This network will serve as a platform for mutual support, collective action, and capacity building, ensuring that voluntary and community organisations led by the Global Majority are empowered to thrive.&nbsp; Please note: Attendees are asked to enter and exit the Royal Albert Hall through Door 1

Join us for a full day of training run by <a href="https://www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/training-events/find-training/training-for-healthcare-professionals/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Beyond the Symptoms</a>. WHAT IS BEYOND THE SYMPTOMSBeyond The Symptoms is a full day CPD-accredited training programme for youth and play workers that aims to improve the early intervention rates for people with eating disorders. Delivered by eating disorder clinicians with extensive experience in the field, Beyond the Symptoms is suitable for various healthcare professionals. Designed for those who are not experts in eating disorders, it helps staff identify when a young person has an eating disorder and confidently intervene early.&nbsp;WHY UNDERSTAND EATING DISORDERS?Eating disorders have serious potential side effects with widespread physical and psychological impacts – the digestive, cardiovascular, endocrine, respiratory, and musculoskeletal systems can all suffer damage as the result of an eating disorder. It is not uncommon for someone to present to another area of the healthcare system before they seek help for, or even realise they have, an eating disorder. It is crucial that healthcare professionals can recognise when the underlying cause of a problem is an eating disorder and understand how to effectively and sensitively support them into treatment.&nbsp;LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE TRAINING<ul><li>Spotting the early warning signs, risk management, and screening tools.</li><li>The importance of early intervention.</li><li>How to approach and conduct difficult conversations.</li><li>Why someone might be resistant to treatment.</li><li>Challenges you may experience in identifying and talking to people with eating disorders.</li><li>Signposting to treatment services.</li></ul>

Lancaster Youth Hub

The Youth Mental Health First Aid course has been updated for 2025 with the latest knowledge and research. It has been redeveloped through an inclusive lens with extensive input from young people with lived experience. This course is ideal for anyone who lives with&nbsp;works with, or supports young people aged 8 to 18 and wants to gain the knowledge, awareness, and skills to spot the signs of a young person experiencing poor mental health, the confidence to start a conversation, and the tools to safeguard and signpost to appropriate support.&nbsp; Train as a Youth Mental Health First Aider and you will receive three years of certification, plus access to ongoing benefits by joining the Association of Mental Health First Aiders®.
