Waves Additional Needs Support Group

At WAVES, we are dedicated to supporting children and young adults with additional needs, along with their families. Our activities are designed to promote social, emotional, and physical skills, fostering an environment where friendships can flourish. We offer a variety of onsite activities and seasonal social events, all aimed at creating a safe and welcoming space for our members. Our volunteers, who are also parents of children with additional needs, understand the challenges faced by families and provide invaluable advice and support.

The impact of our work is evident in the positive experiences shared by our members. We strive to create a community where love, understanding, and acceptance are at the forefront. Many parents have expressed that WAVES feels like a home, a place where their children can truly be themselves without judgment. By building connections and offering support, we are not only enhancing the lives of the children and young adults we serve but also empowering their families to navigate the complexities of their journeys together.

We offer a range of different activities for children and young people, to help build, social and emotional skills in a supportive inclusive environment. These sessions allow children to be themselves, around others just like them. Parents and carers can connect, share experiences and offer support to one another, in a friendly non judgemental space. Our sessions are £2 per child.
