<a href="https://bordehill.co.uk/events/rose-garden-30th-anniversary-celebrations/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">For more information click here!</a> A month of rose-inspired tours, workshops and special events Throughout June, Borde Hill celebrates three decades of Jay Robin’s Rose Garden – a spectacular ‘garden room’ created in 1996 by RHS Gold Medal–winning designer Robin Williams and named after Jay Robin, daughter of fourth-generation custodians Andrewjohn and Eleni Stephenson Clarke. During the celebrations, the Rose Garden will be at its most breathtaking, with more than 750 David Austin roses across 100 varieties filling the borders with colour and perfume. The Victorian Glasshouse will host a daily exhibition of rose-inspired paintings, alongside rarely seen archive material tracing the Rose Garden’s journey from its creation to the present day. A curated programme of bookable experiences invites visitors to explore the world of roses more deeply – from weekly guided tours and creative workshops to special events, including a talk by leading rose expert Michael Marriott. The Gift Shop will extend the celebration with a selection of David Austin rose plants and rose-inspired treasures to take home.

<a href="https://bordehill.co.uk/events/rose-garden-30th-anniversary-celebration-tours/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">For more information, click here</a> As part of the&nbsp;<a href="https://bordehill.co.uk/events/rose-garden-30th-anniversary-celebrations/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" style="color: rgb(199, 90, 63);">30th Anniversary Celebrations</a>, join our expert Garden Team every Tuesday in June at 11am for a guided journey through Jay Robin’s Rose Garden, one of Borde Hill’s most cherished spaces.At its early-summer peak, the Rose Garden becomes a breathtaking display of colour and perfume, home to 750 fragrant David Austin roses in over 100 varieties.During this 30-minute tour, you’ll uncover the story of the Rose Garden’s creation – its inspiration, design, and evolution over three decades. Along the way, our Garden Team will share organic techniques for cultivating healthy roses, from companion planting and mulching to feeding and long-term care.You’ll leave inspired with ideas for selecting and growing roses at home.

Along the way, they’ll discover the story of Piccolo, the smallest pixie in the Fairy Garden, who must complete a series of challenges to earn his wings. Stop to make a wish on the Wishing Chair, help Bracken weave a natural loom, and visit the Fairy Glade to peer into the magic pool. As young explorers journey through the woodland, they’ll complete activities in their&nbsp;Enchanted Garden&nbsp;storybook. Once their adventure is complete, they can return to the ‘real’ world to collect a special reward. Our summer trail is perfect for children aged 3-8 years and costs £4 per trail, plus Garden admission to include a prize. Free to Members (Child or Family Memberships).
