Nemo Arts

Nemo Arts is a charitable organisation that provides free creative classes for adults, with a focus on supporting individuals in recovery from poor mental health. Our weekly workshops offer a safe and enjoyable environment for attendees to learn a diverse range of creative skills. These workshops are designed to promote mental wellbeing and provide an opportunity for individuals to engage in artistic expression as a form of therapy and personal development.

Through our creative workshops, we aim to support adults in their journey towards improved mental health and overall wellbeing. By offering a diverse selection of classes and fostering a safe and fun atmosphere, we strive to empower individuals to explore their creativity and find solace in artistic expression. Our impact is evident in the positive changes experienced by our participants, as they gain confidence, develop new skills, and find a supportive community that aids in their recovery journey. We are dedicated to providing a space where individuals can find healing and personal growth through the transformative power of art.

Join the Castlemilk Choir and experience the joy of singing in a friendly and welcoming group! These workshops are designed for individuals who are accessing mental health services and looking to boost well-being, meet new people, and connect through the power of music.Over&nbsp;14 weekly sessions, you’ll learn a variety of songs, develop vocal confidence, and enjoy the uplifting experience of group singing. No prior experience is needed—just a love of music and a willingness to take part!&nbsp;The course concludes with a&nbsp;Celebration Showcase, where participants can&nbsp;perform together and share their progress.

Castlemilk Community Centre is managed by Glasgow Life on behalf of Glasgow City Council, as a resource for the local community. It was originally built in 1969.The centre boasts a large main hall, which has a stage with lighting and sound systems. It is ideal for performances, shows or exhibitions.

These workshops are designed for individuals who are looking to boost well-being, meet new people, and express themselves through visual art.Over&nbsp;10 weekly sessions, you'll experiment with different artistic techniques and materials, from painting and drawing to mixed media and more. No experience is needed—just an open mind and a willingness to create!

Thank you for booking the textiles short course. Your first session will be on Monday 9th January 2:30pm - 4:30pm. All materials will be supplied however if you have projects you are working on you are very welcome to bring your own work along.

This new session is a short trial and has come about through feedback from our current participants. This class is volunteer lead and is intended to be a skill share space, this will include but not limited to Crochet, Knitting, Sewing (machine) and Embroidery. Suitable for beginners.

Your first session will be on Sunday 24th May from 2:30 - 4:30. this session will be physical so please come dressed in comfortable cloths suitable for moving around. This course is 8 sessions and will lead to a performance, it is therefore expected that you will attend every session, if you do not think you can commit to this project please let us know as spaces are very limited for this opportunity. Scotland’s leading developer of street arts, Surge, has joined forces&nbsp;with the Nemo Arts to create free workshops, leading to a live performance of fun and unique street&nbsp;theatre acts. Join us and learn all about outdoor physical theatre.
