Small 6 week group for pregnant parents and birth supporters together, including a significant other who will have a close, lasting relationship with your baby. The group supports each parent or carer to connect with their unborn baby, give you space to explore any hopes

For parents and carers, babies, and children aged 3 to 12 months to learn together through:

•	playing 
•	listening
•	talking
•	singing
•	sharing books

Share ideas and simple, low-cost activities that support your child’s learning in everyday life.  It’s also a great way to get to know other families. 

Your baby or child will learn so much from you, as you chat, play, sing, cuddle, and do all your usual daily activities. 

Research shows that things you do together have a big impact on how children's brains develop in these early years, and on how they get on at school and in later life.

Thank you for booking on to the Hello Baby course at Barton Hill Family Hub July 2026. We are pleased to welcome you to the group and staff are looking forward to meeting you all. The sessions are weekly for 4 weeks, and you have been registered for the full 4 weeks. Week 1 - Learn about support available for new parents from Family Hubs and get to meet other new parents in your local area. Information about pelvic health, contraception, and session for dads and non-birthing parents.Week 2 - Learn about different feeding choices, how to understand your baby's feeding cues and the support available to help you with your feeding journey.Week 3 - Learn about labour, birth, and post-birth care, and what to expect when you take your baby home.Week 4 - Understand your baby's needs, their communication, brain development, and how to look after your own emotional wellbeing during pregnancy and post-birth. A free, four week antenatal course for parents from 26 weeks of pregnancy, helping you feel ready for birth and life with your new baby. The course will help you prepare for the birth experience and the early days. Sessions are run by Family Hubs, infant feeding teams, midwives, and health visitors.

Small 6 week group for pregnant parents and birth supporters together, including a significant other who will have a close, lasting relationship with your baby.

The group supports each parent or carer to connect with their unborn baby, give you  space to explore any hopes and fears about becoming a parent or carer, and to support you to prepare for the changes ahead.

Drop‑in Stay and Play session for local families with children aged 0 to 5 years.
