Family Hubs provide a range of services in the local community, working with families to ensure that services meet the needs of infants, children, young people and parents and carers in the borough.


The weekly clinic&nbsp;gives the opportunity to get your baby / child weighed. The clinic is lead by a Health Visitor who&nbsp;can offer&nbsp;support, advice and information. To book a clinic appointment please ring 0191 283 2677.

Hebburn Family Hub

Run by Health Visitors, this group provides support, advice and up-to-date information for breastfeeding your baby. It is a great opportunity to meet other breastfeeding parents and share ideas and experiences. This group provides breastfeeding support and advice in several layers from Health Visitors, Community Nursery Nurse, Early Years Practitioners, peer supporters and mum-to-mum in all aspects of breastfeeding. Cost: Free

Twins, Triplets and More is a group for parents and carers to attend with their twins, triplets, or quads aged 0-4 years. Babies and children can explore and engage in play while parents and carers can share experiences and support one another. Booking is not required

Learning with Play 0 to 4 years is a playgroup suitable for young families with children under 5 years and is led by Early Years Practitioners. This group promotes quality time and learning through play as well as information, advice and guidance. The session includes songs, rhymes, outdoor play, sensory, crafts and messy play. Voluntary contribution of £1. Booking isn't required.
