Young Hammersmith & Fulham (Young H&F) is a charity working to support voluntary youth organisations to thrive and deliver the best support for young people.

We believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and that starts with a strong, well-supported youth sector. So that’s our goal - to strengthen the youth sector in Hammersmith & Fulham by supporting the charities, organisations, and professionals who work directly with young people. 

We do this by: 
- Providing free expert-led training to help organisations grow and sustain their impact. Previous trainings have included Deaf Awareness Training led by David Buxton, CEO of Action on Disability and Trauma-Informed Practice Training led by consultant Kati Taunt. 

- Facilitating spaces for discussion, networking & collaboration 
In addition to providing high-quality training, Young H&F also creates space for community members to share insights, connect and collaborate through various events, networks and forums.  
 
- Giving our community access to vital funding. In 2024 Young H&F we gave £25,000 to seven supplementary schools across Hammersmith & Fulham, supporting educational initiatives for students from underrepresented minority communities, including Somali, Arabic, and Polish backgrounds. We also provided £50,000 in small grants to small and medium sized non-profit youth organisations, helping them sustain and grow their work with young people.

<h2>Join us for a fully funded training session with Tender Arts to explore the realities of domestic abuse, coercive control, and how these issues impact young people. </h2> In this session run by Tender Arts, you will gain practical tools to identify, respond to, and prevent unhealthy relationships within youth settings. With over 20 years of experience, Tender harnesses the power of drama and the arts to educate young people and professionals about healthy relationships. Our trainers hold Level 3 Domestic Abuse Training qualifications and use engaging, creative methods to deliver impactful sessions nationwide. Key topics include:<ul><li>Understanding domestic abuse, coercive control, and their impact on young people</li><li>How to spot signs of harm in youth settings</li><li>Practical disclosure response strategies for frontline staff</li><li>Contextual safeguarding in local communities</li><li>Signposting and resources to strengthen your safeguarding approach</li><li> </li></ul>We hope you can join us and take advantage of this valuable session. We’re so happy to be able to offer free training to our community members, but when people drop out last minute, it means we still have to cover the costs and someone else misses out on a valuable opportunity. Join us for our July Community Coffee Morning-co-hosted with Fulham F.C! Fulham F.C are launching their new Women and Girls strategy and July hosts the Women's Euros so it only seemed fitting that this will be the theme of this coffee morning1 This will be a great opportunity to meet with Fulham F. to learn about their strategy to get mor girls playing football, as well as meet other Young H &amp; F members in an informal setting.
