Young Hammersmith & Fulham (Young H&F) is a charity working to support voluntary youth organisations to thrive and deliver the best support for young people.

We believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive, and that starts with a strong, well-supported youth sector. So that’s our goal - to strengthen the youth sector in Hammersmith & Fulham by supporting the charities, organisations, and professionals who work directly with young people. 

We do this by: 

Building capacity through training, networks and shared learning
Young H&F provides opportunities for learning, upskilling and knowledge-sharing to help non-profit youth organisations to deliver the best support for young people, whilst also creating spaces for collaboration across our community.

Giving our community membership access to vital  funding 
We are pleased to provide community members access to the funding they need to create meaningful opportunities for young people through small grants.
 
Embedding youth voice into decision-making
We always strive to make sure that young people play a central role in shaping our work - from allocating funding as Young Grant Makers to facilitating peer research projects.

Driving Sector Development through Research and Partnerships
Young H&F strengthens the youth sector by identifying gaps and facilitating collaborative projects. Through research, pilot initiatives and cross-sector partnerships, we aim to strengthen the youth sector and help create more joined-up support for young people in Hammersmith & Fulham.

<h1>Supporting Young People to Access Pathways Into Employment: Youth Worker Forum</h1><h2> </h2><h2>Facilitated by Youth Careers Collective, this forum will create space for frontline youth practitioners to share knowledge, approaches and practical strategies that support young people to access pathways into employment.</h2> Focus groups that Young H&amp;F has held across the borough have uncovered a deep anxiety around employment and career opportunities amongst young people.&nbsp;This concern reflects wider national trends, with UK unemployment reaching 5.2% at the end of last year. We are bringing together youth practitioners across the borough to discuss best practice round supporting young people into employment and to identify key training and employment opportunities. If you work for an organisation that supports young people with training or employment opportunities, enterprise or education and academic support - this is a fantastic chance to speak about what you are doing and share insight with others in the youth sector. This is a free event - we ask for a small deposit that will be returned after the event to reduce no shows! If you give our team 48 hours notice, you will not be charged the deposit.
