Kalma Life provides yoga, mindfulness and wellbeing sessions for children, adults and families across South Tyneside. 

Kalma Minds is our children's yoga and mindfulness programme, which is fun and engaging. Aside from the physical benefits yoga brings to children it teaches techniques for coping with the unique issues they’re faced with everyday—insecurity about their changing bodies, the enormous pressure to fit in, stressful schedules, and uncertainty about their beliefs and their futures.  A regular yoga practice during these years can help to balance the body’s chemistry and physiology and it will benefit the mind, body and soul.

Body; promoting development of the vestibular system, encouraging midline crossing, strong flexible body, develops core and essential for correct physical alignment and good posture

Mind; calms us and bring us to the present moment, relieves tension and stress, increases concentration and focus and attention span, promotes creative thinking and memory
