TimeGivers is a local charity and children’s volunteering platform that creates enriching opportunities for children, young people and families to give back. We run projects in schools, youth hubs and communities with a focus on real, hands-on impact, from gardening and litter picking to visiting care homes and cooking for community groups. Our goal is to help young people build confidence and life skills while contributing in ways that are meaningful, enjoyable and genuinely helpful to their local area.

Our summer holiday camp offers a fun, meaningful and hands-on way for children and young people to give back to their communities. Aimed at ages 7 to 14, these two days will take place at Tudor Rose, a location with kitchen facilities that allows us to explore volunteering through cooking and other creative, community-focused activities. Each day includes a mix of hands-on volunteering opportunities, such as:<ul><li>Visiting and spending time with residents in a local care home</li><li>Litter picking and environmental clean-up projects</li><li>Helping with gardening and allotment work</li><li>Cooking meals and helping with local food support initiatives</li></ul> These sessions focus on giving back through small, thoughtful actions that can have a big local impact. Children will be supported by experienced adult volunteers and encouraged to work together to help others in age-appropriate, engaging ways. If you’d like to take part in the full 5-day programme, please also sign up to our Latymer Upper School listing (20th, 21st and 22nd August) - this listing is specifically for the Tudor Rose sessions on 18th and 19th August. Our sessions are designed for children aged 7 to 14, with a focus on confidence-building and making a real difference in the local community. Please note: Details of the activities may change as we finalise the programme, but the focus will remain on meaningful, creative volunteering - with cooking likely to feature as a key part of these two days.

Aimed at ages 7 to 14, the camp runs across 3 weekdays at Latymer Upper School and 2 weekdays at Tudor Rose, blending creative volunteering with real, local impact. Each day includes a mix of on-site and off-site volunteering activities, such as:<ul><li>Visiting and spending time with residents in a local care home</li><li>Litter picking and environmental clean-up projects</li><li>Helping with gardening</li><li>Cooking meals and helping with local food support initiatives - this will take place at Tudor Rose and involves preparing nutritious meals that are shared with the wider community. This part of the programme has its own sign-up and requires registering via a separate listing</li></ul> If you’d like to join us for the full 5-day programme, please make sure to sign up to both listings: this one at Latymer Upper School (20th, 21st and 22nd August) and one at Tudor Rose (18th and 19th August). Through these activities, young people build confidence, teamwork skills and a stronger connection to their local area - all while making a real and tangible difference. Our sessions are designed specifically for children aged 7 to 14, offering age-appropriate activities with supervision and support. Community Litter Pick - Disney-themed! Families encouraged and adults are welcome.Wednesday 23rd July, 10:00am-11:30am Join TimeGivers for a fun and family-friendly Disney-themed litter pick - an energetic way for families, children and young people to give back to their community while helping to protect the environment. Part of our wider volunteering programme, this event helps children build confidence, compassion and leadership through real-world and hands-on experiences. We’ll be following a pre-planned route along the River Thames, starting near Hammersmith Bridge and ending at the same location, safely collecting rubbish while learning about the importance of protecting our local environment. Expect Disney sing-alongs, optional fancy dress and lots of fun! After the litter pick, we’ll gather for refreshments to celebrate our efforts Meeting point:&nbsp;A quiet road called Digby Mansions, just by Hammersmith Bridge and Hammersmith Bridge Road (Hammersmith-side) and down from Sri Sai Convenience Stores. Look out for TimeGivers staff in high-vis vests. Please arrive by 10:00am for the safety briefing. The litter pick will leave promptly by 10:15am and return to the start point around 11:30am. What to bring (if you have them):<ul><li>Gloves</li><li>Litter picker</li><li>Water bottle</li><li>Hand sanitiser</li></ul> (TimeGivers will provide gloves and litter pickers for anyone who doesn’t have them) Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. 📸 Photography/filming will take place during the event.
