Chairing meetings well is an important skill. The Chair makes sure the right issues are on the agenda that the meeting runs on time and that everyone attending feels heard. This free in-person half-day session will allow you to improve your chairing skills.&nbsp; Aims of the session to:▪ Increase skills and knowledge to enable delegates to conduct meetings and communicate effectively.▪ Increase delegates' confidence in preparing meetings with a clear agenda, manage them effectively, and agree on clear action points to the agreed goals.▪ Increase skills and knowledge of delegates in facilitating and presentation skills. Learning outcomesDelegates will be able to:▪ Chair &amp; handle Effective Meetings.▪ Clarify the purpose of the meeting.▪ Create a clear and useful agenda.▪ Ensure agenda items are dealt with effectively.▪ Ask questions to encourage participation and discussion.▪ Reduce time-wasting. He has delivered accredited courses in partnership with education providers such as universities and FE colleges as well as not-for-profit organisations. Non-accredited courses have also been designed and delivered to staff, trustees, and volunteers working in both statutory and the voluntary &amp; community/ charity/ not-for-profit sectors. Some courses were commissioned by local authorities and others by charities, and some were developed due to the need of the sector and were self-funded by the learners with match funding from the Skills Funding Agency.

Celebrate International Women’s Day with Hackney CVS on Friday 7 March from 11am to 2pm, followed by a lunch and reception. This vibrant event will feature inspiring speakers, poetry, interactive discussions, and a special performance by African female drummers, 'Red, Green and Black'. We welcome our male allies to this event to join in the activities and celebrate with us. As part of the celebration, we are also hosting an IWD exhibition in the conference room from 1 March and we invite to loan us any posters, photos, books, or artwork that celebrates women.
