Hackney CVS is a local infrastructure organisation (LIO), and we support voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations located in, or serving communities living, working, or studying within the London Borough of Hackney and the City of London (City & Hackney).

We have three core functions:

Giving a voice to the City and Hackney VCS and seldom-heard communities, empowering them to inform, shape, and influence decisions affecting residents.
Providing a bridge to connect VCS organisations and residents with each other, and with statutory partners.
Ensuring the VCS thrives, by building the capacity of the VCS through training, 1:1 support, and by leveraging resources, financial and otherwise, for the sector.

As agreed at the recent Mental Health Strategy Group meeting, we are hosting a one-hour online session to begin shaping a refreshed local mental health strategy. Welcome to the online 'How to Apply' session for the Hackney Community Fund. This is an&nbsp;opportunity for you to hear directly from officers at LBH who are running this fund (and ask questions) See below for detailed information about the fund, including the link to step-by-step application guidance. Hackney Council is inviting local organisations to apply for grants of up to £120,000 to fund projects that will make the borough greener, safer, and fairer for all residents. The Hackney Community Fund, launched in 2022, is financed through the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) - a charge placed on developers when they secure planning permission. A total of £650,000 is available to support local charities, voluntary groups, community interest companies, and social enterprises in delivering projects that use arts, culture, and the environment to bring people together and create lasting benefits for the community. Funding will be awarded based on how well projects meet key criteria, including deliverability, community support, value for money, and long-term impact. ﻿Applications are open from 28 July – 6 October. Eligible organisations include charities, social enterprises, voluntary groups, Community Interest Companies (CICs) and companies limited by guarantee. Projects must be non-commercial and based entirely in Hackney.
