At CWVA, our vision is championing the community sector – building trust, influencing, inspiring.

We work with community organisations, as well as partners in other sectors, across west Cheshire.

Our staff have extensive knowledge and skills to help community sector organisations thrive, supporting with things like governance, good practice, volunteering, funding, training, networking and more.

Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) is providing training for community sector organisations that are interested in using Plinth as their community impact system. Plinth has been used by CWVA since the start of 2025, offering a wide range of features, such as case management, event bookings, outcome measurements, surveys and forms, and much more. Community sector organisations linked to CWVA are able to use Plinth for free. This training will provide an overview of the system, how community sector organisations can take advantage of the different features, and how CWVA is planning to use Plinth to aggregate data and show the collective impact being made by the sector.

This is a meeting for members of the West Cheshire Food Partnership, and sub-group leads, to come together and share progress on key issues.

We’re inviting residents and community organisations from across Cheshire and Warrington to take part in a workshop to help shape the Cheshire and Warrington Get Working Plan. In the workshop we will bring people together to explore what gets in the way of (barriers) and what helps people to access work, training, and volunteering opportunities. Who it’s for: This session is open to:<ul><li>People with lived and living experience of barriers to employment or skills opportunities.</li><li>Community and voluntary organisations supporting residents around employment, skills, or volunteering.</li></ul> What to expect: <ul><li>A welcoming and informal workshop where everyone’s voice is valued and listened to.</li><li>Opportunities to share your experiences, ideas, and local insights.</li><li>Your input will directly inform the Get Working Strategy and future actions across the subregion.</li></ul> We have a small/limited budget available to help with travel expenses so that people can take part. If the cost of getting to the session would be a barrier for you, please let us know and we can see what we can support with.

Cheshire West Voluntary Action (CWVA) is running its second Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) Alliance Conference. This is an opportunity for community sector organisations, public sector partners and funders to come together, celebrate all the amazing services being delivered in the local community, and look at how the CYPF Alliance can continue to progress. As well as guest speakers, there'll be a choice of workshops for people to take part in at the conference. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is funding this conference, including a complimentary lunch, with 100 places available.
