Many Volunteer Managers are balancing the emotional and practical demands of supporting volunteers with varied needs, alongside personal situations of their own, such as caring responsibilities, complex family dynamics, or other pressures that can impact their wellbeing.&nbsp;&nbsp; This bespoke programme has been designed with the realities of volunteer management in mind. It offers practical, emotionally intelligent tools that can be applied immediately, while also creating space for reflection, confidence-building, and long-term wellbeing.&nbsp;&nbsp; The programme brings together participants for a full day of learning, followed by two coaching sessions which will give everyone the chance to reflect upon how they have put their learning in to practice and what they plan to do as part of their long term resilience strategy.

Digital Foundations for the VCFSE is a four-week practical workshop programme designed to help Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations strengthen their digital presence, communications and engagement. Whether you are completely new to digital communications or looking to refine your organisation’s existing approach, this course will provide practical guidance, hands-on activities and actionable tools to help you communicate more effectively online. Across four sessions, attendees will explore the core fundamentals of communications, branding, websites and social media while developing a clearer understanding of how to engage audiences, strengthen organisational identity and improve digital confidence.<h3> </h3><h3>Session 1 - The Fundamentals</h3>Learn how to define your organisation’s audience, voice and goals. Participants will explore how different stakeholders engage with communications, how tone and messaging affect engagement, and how to create clearer calls to action aligned with organisational priorities. By the end of the session, attendees will have developed a basic communications plan that can inform both digital and offline engagement. <h3>Session 2 - Branding</h3>Explore the foundations of organisational branding, including colours, fonts, imagery, tone and accessibility considerations. Participants will also receive an introduction to Canva and learn how to create simple branded content. Attendees will leave with a basic brand kit and a stronger understanding of how to create accessible, recognisable and consistent communications. <h3>Session 3 - Website Essentials</h3>Understand what makes an effective website and how to improve user experience, accessibility and visibility online. This session introduces key concepts including UX/UI, user journeys and basic search engine optimisation (SEO). Participants will complete a website audit checklist and identify practical improvements they can make to their organisation’s website. <h3>Session 4 - Social Media</h3>Learn how different social media platforms serve different purposes and how to choose the right channels for your organisation. Participants will explore content planning, engagement strategies and platform-specific communication techniques. By the end of the session, attendees will have created a simple content calendar and drafted audience-focused social media content.

Digital Foundations for the VCFSE Workshop - Session 2: Branding

This half-day, face-to-face Mental Health Awareness training delivered by Wirral Mind is designed to help volunteers develop a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing. The course explores common mental health conditions, challenges misconceptions and stigma, and provides practical guidance on how to recognise when someone may be experiencing difficulties. Volunteers will gain increased confidence in having supportive conversations, understand the importance of boundaries and self-care within their role, and learn about local support services and pathways for further help.

Supporting employees' mental health is a vital part of effective leadership. This practical one-day training course is designed specifically for those that support and manage Volunteers, helping you build the skills, knowledge and confidence to recognise signs of stress and mental ill-health, have supportive conversations, and create a healthier workplace culture. ﻿Through a blend of self-directed learning and a live facilitated session, you will gain practical strategies to support staff wellbeing, understand the impact of mental health on individuals and organisations, and learn how to access appropriate resources and support services. The course also highlights the importance of looking after your own wellbeing while supporting others, enabling you to lead with confidence and compassion.

We are looking forward to having you on the Mental Health Awareness for Line Managers on 8th September. This training will consist of self directed learning in the morning, and an online training session in the afternoon. You will need a device with a working microphone and camera to fully participate in this training. SafeTALK is a half-day, in-person workshop that focuses on suicide alertness. It is designed for anyone aged 15 and up and doesn't require any prior training. Its main goal is to train people to be connectors. A connector is someone who can recognise signs of suicide and then safely and promptly connect the person to professional help.
