Many Volunteer Managers are balancing the emotional and practical demands of supporting volunteers with varied needs, alongside personal situations of their own, such as caring responsibilities, complex family dynamics, or other pressures that can impact their wellbeing.&nbsp;&nbsp; This bespoke programme has been designed with the realities of volunteer management in mind. It offers practical, emotionally intelligent tools that can be applied immediately, while also creating space for reflection, confidence-building, and long-term wellbeing.&nbsp;&nbsp; The programme brings together participants for a full day of learning, followed by two coaching sessions which will give everyone the chance to reflect upon how they have put their learning in to practice and what they plan to do as part of their long term resilience strategy.

This workshop is to support individuals and organisations understanding the basics around GDPR and being compliant within your organisation. We'll cover what GDPR is, how your organisations collects or uses data and how to put together a policy that supports you and your organisation.

This accredited course equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to recognise the signs of common mental health issues, offer initial support, and guide a person towards appropriate professional help. It will be delivered as online training, taking place across four Tuesday evenings between 5pm and 9pm.

Mental Health First Aid training - Online  (for volunteers) 

We are now in the final stages of co-producing the Crisis and Resilience Fund programme with Wirral Council. The proposed policy, delivery approach and funding allocation are being presented to Wirral Council’s Policy and Resources Committee on Wednesday 10 June. The Committee report, draft policy and proposed funding allocation are available on the Council website. As part of the next stage, Wirral CVS has been asked to support a co-production session with VCFSE sector colleagues to help shape the grant criteria for the proposed Resilience Grants programme. The Resilience Grants are expected to form a significant part of the local Crisis and Resilience Fund offer, with a proposed allocation of up to £1 million per year. The purpose of the grants will be to support activity that helps residents and communities avoid, reduce or recover from financial hardship, building longer-term resilience and reducing the likelihood of future crisis. This session will focus on the criteria, conditions and outcomes that should guide the grant programme. It will not determine which organisations receive funding, and it will not make final funding decisions. Instead, it will help shape the framework used to assess applications and ensure the programme reflects the insight, experience and priorities of Wirral’s VCFSE sector. The session will provide space for open and honest discussion about how the Resilience Grants can best support residents, strengthen community-based provision, and contribute to the wider shift from crisis response to prevention and resilience. Due to limited space and the range of organisations potentially interested we will only accept one application from each organisation.

A workshop covering an overview of the changes brought in by the new FRS102 and SORP 2026 requirements for charities and social enterprises and the key practical challenges for implementation. This session covers an overview of the key changes introduced by the new FRS102 and SORP 2026 for charities and social enterprises, including the practical changes and challenges brought in for initial application, additional requirements for the trustees’ annual report, updated accounting policies, income and leasing calculations, and the implications for accounting systems, management reporting, budgeting and funding applications.Through practical examples and interactive discussion, you will have a clearer understanding and knowledge of how to approach and make the changes in your charity and what choices you have. Who should attend?Treasurers, trustees, finance directors, managers and bookkeepers at small and medium sized charities, CICs and other social enterprises. Digital Foundations for the VCFSE is a four-week practical workshop programme designed to help Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations strengthen their digital presence, communications and engagement. Whether you are completely new to digital communications or looking to refine your organisation’s existing approach, this course will provide practical guidance, hands-on activities and actionable tools to help you communicate more effectively online. Across four sessions, attendees will explore the core fundamentals of communications, branding, websites and social media while developing a clearer understanding of how to engage audiences, strengthen organisational identity and improve digital confidence.<h3> </h3><h3>Session 1 - The Fundamentals</h3>Learn how to define your organisation’s audience, voice and goals. Participants will explore how different stakeholders engage with communications, how tone and messaging affect engagement, and how to create clearer calls to action aligned with organisational priorities. By the end of the session, attendees will have developed a basic communications plan that can inform both digital and offline engagement. <h3>Session 2 - Branding</h3>Explore the foundations of organisational branding, including colours, fonts, imagery, tone and accessibility considerations.
