Lead Something Wild in Bolsover! Are you aged 16–25 and passionate about nature, wildlife, and making a difference? We’re launching a brand new youth-led conservation group at Castle Leisure Park in Bolsover, and we’re looking for young people to run it. You’ll take the lead—planning projects, organising events, and managing the site—with expert support from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, who will work alongside you to help create a land management plan and build your conservation skills. - Hands-on conservation experience at Castle Leisure Park- Learn from wildlife professionals- Meet like-minded people who care about the planet- All expenses covered and equipment provided- Level 2 Practical Skills for Conservation training No experience needed—just energy, ideas, and a love for nature! Groundwork are offering volunteers aged 16-25 the opportunity to learn green skills, help local wildlife and improve physical and mental wellbeing. Volunteering will involve maintenance work along the Archaeological Way. It will occur every other Wednesday between 09.30am and 13.30pm with each session covering a different part of the Archaeological Way which will be confirmed with you. Bassetlaw VCSE Health and Wellbeing Forum

Bolsover Community Voluntary Service are partnering with Vision West Nottinghamshire College who will be delivering this seven-week programme. This programme is explicitly designed as a supportive and practical stepping stone toward the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET). It is funded through Tailored Learning, meaning the content is highly contextualised to the needs of adult learners and the community sector, making it immediately relevant for aspiring tutors. The course is structured to align directly with the three core units of the AET:●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understanding Roles, Responsibilities, and Relationships: Covered in Weeks 1 and 5.●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches: Covered in Weeks 2, 3, and 4.●&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Understanding Assessment: Covered in Week 6 By dedicating time to practical skills before the holiday break (Weeks 1-4) and culminating with the essential Micro-teach (Week 7), participants build confidence and gather evidence necessary for the formal AET assignments. The compulsory Online CPD during the February half term break ensures continuity of learning and introduces the digital component increasingly relevant in adult education. Successful completion will provide participants with:1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A strong practical foundation in teaching adults.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;A completed, assessed Micro-teach session.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The necessary knowledge to confidently tackle the written assignments required for the formal Level 3 AET qualification.

Bolsover CVS is focusing on strengthening women’s health through targeted training and awareness initiatives. By providing 4 structured training sessions following with 2 informal catch up meetings, by HCP, we aim to empower women with accurate, practical knowledge on key health issues. Better informed women will be equipped to disseminate this information to the communities in the district, creating a ripple effect of improved health awareness and practices. This initiative will foster sustainable community engagement, reduce health disparities, and promote preventive care.
