At the Bridgend Centre, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents and community members in Bollington, Cheshire. Since our establishment in 1990, we have created a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can find friendship, support, and activities that cater to their needs. Our diverse range of services includes guided walks, arts and crafts sessions, language classes, and health-focused activities like Tai Chi. We also provide essential support for those facing crises, particularly individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and older adults who may feel isolated or vulnerable.

Our mission is to foster a caring community where individuals can thrive. We believe that by offering a variety of engaging activities and resources, we can help improve the lives of those who visit us. Our commitment to accessibility ensures that our facilities are friendly for all, and we strive to create a safe space for everyone. Through our efforts, we aim to bridge social isolation and empower individuals to connect with one another, ultimately making a positive impact on the overall well-being of our community.

Shuttle to the Shops is a bus service from Bollington every fortnight on a Wednesday going to various shopping destinations in the nearby area. This service is open to anyone and costs £5 per trip. Payment is required at time of booking. Most trips are just for the afternoon, but some set off in the morning. Please see the back of this leaflet for pick up points and times. You will need to register the first time you use the service. Places are limited so you will need to reserve your place on the bus every time you wish to travel. Unfortunately if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice we cannot offer you a refund. Please advise us when booking whether you need to bring a walking aid, we only have space for two on the bus. They provide a great opportunity to enjoy some exercise and meet&nbsp;people.The walks on this programme are weekly on a Monday daytime at 10.30am through Autumn and Winter. There are different start points. All the walks are easy, less than 2 miles in length, with no stiles and gentle slopes.We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
