SPIN (Single Parent Information Network)

SPIN (Single Parent Information Network) is a voluntary organisation established in 2005 to support single parent families in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding areas of Sussex. Through our proactive engagement on the SPINChat Facebook group, we provide valuable information, advice, and resources to our members. Our activities include facilitating access to events, training, jobs, and free donations, as well as running a successful van/funding scheme to assist members with house moves and item collection. We have also provided tickets to the Dome and pantomimes, referrals for grocery vouchers, and donations of essential items like makeup, toiletries, and coffee cups. Additionally, we collaborated with PELICAN PARCELS to fulfill Christmas present requests for children, with a contribution from SPIN for the parents. These efforts have made a meaningful impact, particularly for members who lack access to transportation.

We are grateful for the support of our funders and supporters, whose contributions enable us to continue our vital work. Through their generosity, we have been able to make a tangible difference in the lives of single parent families, providing them with essential resources, opportunities for enjoyment, and practical assistance. Our collaborative efforts have not only enhanced the well-being of our members but have also fostered a sense of community and support among single parent families in our region.
