Action Academy Nights – A New Creative Space for Young People We’re excited to launch Action Academy Nights, a brand new evening programme for young people aged 11 to 16, running every Tuesday at Old Oak Community Centre from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.In partnership with Noise Academy, young people will get hands on with DJing and music production, with the opportunity to work towards a Level 1 music qualification in just four weeks and continue their way up the grades. Whether they’re new to music or already passionate about it, this is a brilliant chance to build skills, gain confidence, and create something to be proud of. Alongside music, there will be a rotation of additional activities including sports and creative arts – offering something for everyone to enjoy. Come along, try something new, and get involved

Old Oak Community Centre

George Atwill from Lung and a Half Full Theatre Company, returns to Action Academy for a clowning workshop. A fun adn unique theatre workshop that dives into the world of the bizarre. We'll use theatre games and exercises to play around with meaning. A lot of laughter will be had as we work together to learn how to follow impulses, revel in our failures, and dare to be absurd, strange and funny.

Join us for a bold and hands-on art workshop where typography, sound, and mark making come together. Explore identity, race, and diversity through creative play, design your own statement piece, and respond to live soundscapes inspired by West African and Brazilian culture. With masterclass activities and a showcase of JILO’s prints, this is a chance to get inspired, get messy, and create something powerful.

Young people asked for it and we made it happen! We’ve teamed up with Pop-Up Arcade to host a full day of gaming, giving young people the chance to come together, play, and enjoy an interactive experience designed just for them.

Young people will learn insider techniques from creative experts, experiment with professional materials, and bring spooky transformations to life. It’s a hands-on session full of creativity, perfect for anyone who wants to level up their Halloween look.
