Dear Parents and Carers, Your place for Action Zone Holiday Camp is now confirmed for the week beginning Monday 30th March. We are looking forward to welcoming young people for a week full of energy, creativity and fun. Each day, they will rotate through our three zones: Creative, Challenge and Sport, working in their age groups. Sport sessions will take place at Ravenscourt Park, directly across the road, in a supervised and structured setting with staff supporting the group at all times. Camp Details:Week commencing: Monday 30th MarchTime: 10am to 2.30pmLocation: Latymer Upper School, W6 9LR The programme is free to attend and a hot meal will be provided each day. Please ensure young people arrive on time and wear comfortable clothing suitable for active sessions. Action Zone is our high energy holiday camp where young people rotate through three exciting zones each day: Creative, Challenge and Sport. Delivered in age groups, young people move around the zones with their group, making sure sessions are tailored, engaging and right for their stage. <h3>The Three Zones</h3>Creative Hands on arts, design, themed projects and activities that allow young people to express themselves and try something new. Challenge Team building tasks, problem solving games and leadership activities that build confidence and resilience. Sport Active sessions designed to get young people moving, working together and building healthy habits. Sport sessions take place at Ravenscourt Park, directly across the road, in a supervised setting with staff supporting the group at all times. <h3>What makes Action Zone different</h3>Young people are encouraged to take part, stretch themselves and support one another. There is structure to the day, but plenty of fun and energy throughout.The programme is free to attend and a hot meal is provided each day. <h3>Safe and supportive</h3>All activities are fully supervised by experienced staff. Clear behaviour expectations and safeguarding procedures are in place to ensure every young person feels safe and included.Action Zone is more than just a holiday camp. To support young people to develop independence and take ownership of their engagement, we have created a WhatsApp channel where they can receive reminders about sessions, opportunities and upcoming events.  If your young person is aged 13 or over, do you give consent for them to be added to the WhatsApp channel to receive these updates?

On Friday 10th, we will be taking the trail blazer group off site to a local care home. They will be volunteering at the centre, where they will be gardening and doing arts and crafts. Please give your consent to them being able to go off site.

We are looking forward to welcoming young people for an exciting evening focused on creativity, confidence and real business experience. They will be developing ideas, preparing for live selling opportunities and building something they are proud of. Got an idea? Let’s build it. Every Wednesday evening at WEST Youth Zone, young people aged 11+ take part in LMP Action’s Action Academy Business and Enterprise Programme. This is where ideas turn into real businesses. <h3>What happens?</h3>You will:• Create your own business idea • Work with real industry experts • Receive seed funding to get started • Sell your products at live events No worksheets. No pretending. Real money. Real customers. Real experience. You will learn how to brand, budget, pitch and sell. Thank you for booking a place on our Action Academy Construction Programme. The programme is delivered at Edward Woods Community Centre in partnership with SAY and gives young people the opportunity to learn practical building skills while creating projects for their local community. Young people will take part in hands on activities, learn how to use tools safely and gain insight into different careers within the construction industry. Location: Edward Woods Community CentreDay: MondaysTime: 4 to 5.45pm All practical activities are fully supervised by trained staff, with safety briefings and protective equipment provided where required. Delivered at Edward Woods Community Centre in partnership with SAY Youth Charity, and as part of LMP Action’s Action Academy, this programme is for young people who want to work with their hands, solve problems and see the results of their effort. <h3>What young people will do</h3>• Design and build items for their local community • Learn hands on skills such as measuring, cutting and assembling • Work safely with tools and materials • Understand how construction projects are planned and delivered This is practical from the start. Young people do not just learn about construction. They create something real. <h3>Industry insight</h3>Alongside building projects, young people explore the construction industry and the different career paths within it.
