Thank you for booking a place on our Action Academy Construction Programme. The programme is delivered at Edward Woods Community Centre in partnership with SAY and gives young people the opportunity to learn practical building skills while creating projects for their local community. Young people will take part in hands on activities, learn how to use tools safely and gain insight into different careers within the construction industry. Delivered at Edward Woods Community Centre in partnership with SAY Youth Charity, and as part of LMP Action’s Action Academy, this programme is for young people who want to work with their hands, solve problems and see the results of their effort. <h3>What young people will do</h3>• Design and build items for their local community• Learn hands on skills such as measuring, cutting and assembling• Work safely with tools and materials• Understand how construction projects are planned and delivered This is practical from the start. Young people do not just learn about construction. Got an idea? Let’s build it. Every Wednesday evening at WEST Youth Zone, young people aged 11+ take part in LMP Action’s Action Academy Business and Enterprise Programme. Whether its corn-rows, braiding or something else altogether, this is the perfect workshop for you!Grace has extensive experience in the industry as a shop-owner and will be sharing her knowledge and experiences with young people

Thank you for booking for this workshop,Staff from Squire Stage Combat will be delivering this session, please ensure you're dressed in loose and comfortable clothing as there will be movement required.

Learn a range of techniques and how to portray stage violence effectively with correct actions and reactions. Squire Stage Combat will give you an understanding of the basic principles of stage combat including angles, staging and misdirection.Using these skills you'll get to stage your own fights around a selection of scenes looking at how, where and, most importantly, why a fight happens and what effects it has on the play as a whole as well as practicing Sword Skills!
