At Youth Focus North West, we’re dedicated to improving the lives of young people across the region through the power and principles of youth work. We build partnerships, strengthen networks, provide training, and create meaningful opportunities for young people to have their voices heard and shape the decisions that affect them.

Our mission is to champion high-quality youth work, connect people and organisations, and open doors for collaboration that helps young people and communities thrive. By supporting effective practice and amplifying youth voice, we aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people across the North West.

We work closely with a wide range of partners — from local groups to national organisations — to enhance youth work practice and influence policy. Our initiatives enable young people to participate confidently in decision-making at local, regional, national and international levels. Together, we’re building a stronger, fairer region where young people are supported, skilled, and empowered to create positive change.

Join&nbsp;Youth Focus North West and Curious Minds for a hands-on training day exploring creative methods that bring energy, inclusivity, and play into youth work practice. Through experiential learning, you will: ✅ Try out a range of creative activities for groups and 1-2-1 sessions ✅ Learn how to adapt activities for different learning styles, needs, and spaces ✅ Build confidence in leading creative engagement with young people ✅ Explore how to evaluate sessions creatively This isn’t a “sit back and listen” training — it’s a practical, playful day where you’ll learn by doing. You’ll leave with activities, tools, and inspiration ready to use straight away in your work with young people. We welcome you to bring your own ideaas and activities to share too! Curious Minds is an award-winning charity leading nationally from Wigan, sparking equity and excellence in arts education and cultural learning. They bring together educators, artists and emerging talent, providing training, networks and opportunities that empower them to ignite creativity and transform learning. What is the purpose of the network?The network will create space to collaborate, learn and act as a community of practice. Youth Focus North West (YFNW) is delighted to host the&nbsp;Spotlight on Youth Work Conference 2026,&nbsp;bringing together youth workers and youth services from across the North West. This is a unique opportunity to: ✅ Hear the latest on policy developments affecting youth work✅ Share good practice and success stories✅ Network with colleagues and peers from across the region We are looking forward to welcoming representatives from across the North West.The conference will feature guest speakers and a range of workshops throughout the day; which will focus on policy and practice in youth work.
