Tower Hamlets CVS is dedicated to supporting the voluntary and community sector in Tower Hamlets. We provide funding opportunities, resources, and job vacancies to help local organisations thrive and make a positive impact in our community. Through our Neighbourhood Forum, Cornerstone, and Tower Hamlets Connection Network, we facilitate collaboration and networking among VCS organizations, enabling them to access support, share knowledge, and work together to address local challenges.

Our efforts have resulted in increased access to funding, resources, and job opportunities for VCS organizations in Tower Hamlets. We have also fostered a strong sense of community and collaboration, leading to impactful initiatives and projects that address the diverse needs of our local residents. Through our work, we aim to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of VCS organizations, ultimately contributing to the well-being and resilience of the community we serve.

Addressing Severe Loneliness: Shaping Solutions for Tower Hamlets&nbsp;We are pleased to invite you to a collaborative workshop focused on&nbsp;addressing severe loneliness&nbsp;in our community. This event will bring together key stakeholders to reflect on the progress made so far, share insights from recent research findings specific to Tower Hamlets, and co-create actionable solutions for moving forward.The workshop will give you the chance to:<ul><li>Connect&nbsp;with fellow Tower Hamlets VCS, NHS and Council colleagues passionate about tackling loneliness and social isolation.</li><li>Shape the future&nbsp;of Tower Hamlets Council’s work on loneliness.</li><li>Access the latest data&nbsp;and insights on loneliness in Tower Hamlets.</li></ul>&nbsp;We will have a sandwich lunch with take away boxes available.Workshop Details:Date:&nbsp;6th&nbsp;March 2025Time:&nbsp;9.45am-12.30pmLocation:&nbsp;Osmani Centre (add address) Agenda:<ul><li>Research on Severe Loneliness in Tower Hamlets:&nbsp;Presenting the latest data and insights to inform our next steps. This session will present a useful summary of the latest loneliness in the borough, as well as a summary of interviews with severely lonely residents. Presentation from Neighbourly Lab. Neighbourly Lab, in partnership with&nbsp;Sheffield Hallam University, has been awarded Government funding to develop the national Tackling Loneliness Hub.</li><li>Group Discussions:&nbsp;Identifying what's working well and brainstorming new ideas. We will have themed tables such as housebound residents, older residents, residents experiencing poverty etc with Tower Hamlets VCS and/or Council experts in the field on each table.</li><li>Action Planning:&nbsp;Developing concrete actions to take forward, building on community strengths and addressing gaps. Help inform what Tower Hamlets Council and tackling loneliness network should prioritise.</li><li>This workshop will provide an opportunity to collaborate, learn from one another, and contribute your expertise to help shape future efforts in tackling loneliness and social isolation in Tower Hamlets.</li></ul>

The Health and Wellbeing Forum is an opportunity to find out about how the VCSFE (voluntary, community sector and faith and enterprise) collaborative at the North East London Integrated Care System (NEL ICS) level has been working to embed the voice of the sector and create opportunities to influence and get involved in the work of the collaborative. You will have the opportunity to meet with Najnin Islam partnerships development director, who has been supporting the development of the VCSFE collaborative across NEL and exploring how the sector can have a effective voice in the decision making. And to hear from Vicky Scott the THCVS CEO who is the representative from Tower Hamlets who has been working with the other leaders to develop the collaborative so far.
