<h1>The Great British Spring Clean 2026 </h1> Join the pledge to Keep Britain Tidy! In partnership with Swanley Town Council, we are hosting a litter picking event around White Oak and the surrounding areas. Sunday 22nd March 11:00am – Volunteers will meet outside White Oak Leisure Centre and cover surrounding areas. Equipment including rubbish bags and high vis jackets where appropriate will be provided to volunteers. Refreshments will also be provided after the event at White Oak Leisure Centre.

Learn how to cook healthy meals from scratch with our FREE face-to-face cooking course starting Thursday 17th September 2026. Our five-week course will help you prepare cost-effective, nutritious and delicious meals, whilst learning how to budget and reduce food waste. You'll gain confidence through hands-on cooking experience, creating dishes from stir frys to pasta and soups to curries. All equipment and ingredients will be provided and everyone who completes the course will receive a £20 e-voucher for a supermarket of their choice. Everyone is welcome. To book on you must be able to attend all five sessions on Thursday 17th, 24th September and 1st, 8th and 15th October.

<h1>West Kingsdown Lunch Club</h1> Older residents can come along to our free lunch club in West Kingsdown for hot food and drinks and a chat with others. The monthly club offers a delicious hot main meal with&nbsp;dessert&nbsp;as well as tea, coffee and a chance to socialise. <h1>Hextable Lunch Club</h1> Older residents can come along to our lunch club in Hextable for hot food and drinks and a chat with others. The monthly club offers a delicious hot main meal with&nbsp;dessert&nbsp;as well as tea, coffee and a chance to socialise. There is a £5 charge for this. The club is taking place at St Peter's Church,&nbsp;Hextable from 12noon&nbsp;to 2pm on the third Monday of every month from 15 July 2024 and will run until the end of the year.&nbsp;<h2>Book</h2> Places can either be booked at the end of every lunch club for the following lunch club, or by emailing communities@sevenoaks.gov.uk or calling 01732 227000. Bookings will close 7 days before each lunch club, so please make sure to reserve your place in advance. If you wish to attend the lunch club, please ensure your payment is dropped into Next Door Hextable cafe in an envelope with your full name clearly written on it 7 days before the lunch club. The lunch club is run in partnership with St Peter’s and St Paul’s and Nextdoor Hextable.
