The Cultural Spring is an exciting, ambitious project to get more people in Sunderland and South Tyneside to experience and be inspired by the arts. We’re committed to making arts and culture an accepted and expected part of people’s lives.

As far from a pub quiz down the local as you can get, we’re bringing you the ultimate festive compilation to accompany everyone’s favourite time of the year. Jam-packed with sketches that are guaranteed to get you head scratching, dancing and belting out the tunes.Part comedy sketch show and part music quiz, you’ll play along in quiz teams to guess the songs and bands/artists that inspire the sketches to be in with the chance of winning the highly coveted Golden Mixtape!Get yourselves down for a night at the theatre like no other and get your Christmas party started! Christmas party fancy dress is highly encouraged! HERE’S HOW IT WORKS The Mixtapers (aka. our song-inspired sketch comedy crew), will have you laughing your socks off as they create bitesize sketches inspired by your favourite songs, Christmas classics and music from throughout the eras.Get lyrical: The sketches are based solely on the lyrics of the songs, so you’ll need to listen closely to guess the tunes.Get quizzical: You play along in teams (or by yourself if you’re feeling adventurous) to identify the song titles and artists/bands that each sketch is based on.Golden Mixtape Glory: The team (or individual) with the most points at the end of the show, will win the highly coveted Golden Mixtape Trophy and the ultimate bragging rights! So, do you know your Slade from your Wizzard? Your Wham from your Mariah Carey, or your Little Mix from Billie Eilish?
