Leo's supports the well-being of families who require neonatal care in the North East of England. Our focus is on improving mental health of the entire family from birth, until they no longer need Leo's. We do this by offering community support work to reduce social isolation, we have dedicated peer support, a counselling service, vCreate and heartbeat bears. Also founder of Neonatal MH Week.

Join us for a joyful Rhyme Time Session filled with songs, movement, and smiles! These sessions are a wonderful way for you and your little one to connect through music, rhythm, and rhyme — helping to support early language, communication, and social development in a fun, relaxed environment. Each session includes familiar nursery rhymes, gentle actions, and opportunities for little ones to explore sound and movement while building confidence and curiosity. Whether it’s clapping, singing, or swaying along, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Please note, these sessions are designed for families with children aged 0–18 months. From helping the emergency services to cooking up fun in the play kitchen, little ones can explore, pretend, and discover the world around them through creative, hands-on play. These sessions are designed to encourage imagination, confidence, and social skills while supporting early learning through fun and interaction. Children can dress up, take on different roles, and enjoy exploring themed play areas such as fire and rescue, a doctor’s station, or a busy kitchen — all in a safe, welcoming space. Together, we’ll explore simple, taste-safe play recipes that you can try making yourselves, with guidance from our team every step of the way.
