Kilburn State of Mind is a community charity tackling poverty, social and financial
exclusion, and poor mental health. Founded on the belief in the power of music, we provide
free access to music learning, singing, and creative opportunities for those who cannot afford

The Winchester Project

The Winch is a charity working with local young people in Camden and nearby areas since 1973 so we’ve got decades of experience in our community. We’ve been in North Camden at 21 Winchester Road since the beginning. It’s a welcoming, lively building where local residents can connect to each other or reach out for support from one of our experienced staff. We also run Belsize Community Library, a much-loved neighbourhood space for reading, creating and connecting people.
Our mission is to help each child succeed regardless of their circumstances. We build long-term relationships from an early age with children, young people and their families, often facing huge challenges. We work with them as individuals, stand by them as they grow up into adults and show we are in their corner. At its core, the Winch is a place for people to explore their potential, find their purpose, follow ambitions and live the life they deserve.

An open access 7 acre children's playground and children's centre with an after school club and holiday activities and sports programme for children up to 16 years and a youth centre for 13-19 year olds.  1000 children daily in summer from diverse local community of south Camden. Netherwood Youth Hub

Action youth boxing intervention

Action Youth Boxing Intervention Provision is a holistic, sport-led education and mentoring programme designed to re-engage young people aged 16–25 who have disengaged from mainstream education or are at risk of becoming NEET.

We are an Ascentis-approved supplementary education and training provider, delivering Functional Skills in English and Maths alongside our England Boxing–accredited boxing training and mentoring provision. Our unique approach uses the discipline, structure, and values of boxing to support personal development, build confidence, and promote positive life choices.

As a supplementary education provider, we welcome referrals from a range of partners including the  local authorities, and criminal justice services, particularly for young people who have left school with no qualifications and/or are known to the criminal justice system. Our provision is designed to stop individuals from “falling between the cracks” by offering consistent, constructive engagement through weekly training, education, and mentoring.

Participants work towards achieving their core Maths and English qualifications, while also taking part in employability training to prepare them for the world of work. This includes CV writing, interview techniques, workplace readiness, and 1-to-1 motivational mentoring tailored to individual needs. Through a combination of education, sport, and targeted support, Action Youth Boxing Intervention Provision helps young people develop the skills, mindset, and resilience needed to move into employment, further training, or positive progression pathways.

Kindle Corner

At Kindle Corner, we are dedicated to educating, enlightening, and empowering children through the love of reading. Our Kindle Corner Holiday Club caters to children aged 5-14 and are designed to make storytelling an exciting and engaging part of their learning experience. Whilst Stoytelling remains as the heart of our works creating a sense of love and belonging , our holiday program includes lots of fun action packed activities include multi sports, cooking sessions, arts and crafts, day trips and much more. You can join us too for day trip and some cooking sessions! 

Our staff are teachers and educational practitioners who have experience working well with children ensuring they have a joyous and memorable experience. 

From free storytelling sessions for ages 5-14 to virtual workshops that bring storytelling into homes and schools, we aim to spark children's engagement in various subjects and develop a better understanding of the world around them. Additionally, our Kindle Stay and Play sessions inspire little ones to develop a love of reading through play, offering free sessions such as Phonics Little Feet and Inquisitive Kids. Our outreach workshops are tailored to meet the needs of our clients, ensuring that the values they intend to instill in the audience are effectively communicated.

Our impact is evident in the events we host, such as the storytelling sessions at the British Library, where children and families come together to experience the joy of storytelling. Through our initiatives, we are raising literacy levels and instilling a love for reading in children from a young age, ultimately contributing to their overall development and future success. We are proud to be a hub for every child and family, providing valuable resources and experiences that enrich their lives and education.
