Thousands of children who are eligible for and claiming benefits-related free school meals will be able to access a free place a holiday activity club over the school holiday.Open to eligible children and young people aged 4 to 16 years, all programmes provide:<ul><li>free, nutritious and tasty food</li><li>fun physical activity sessions</li><li>a wide range of other exciting activities to suit different ages and personalities</li><li>opportunities to learn more about food and nutrition for children and their families.</li></ul> Please note: benefits-related free school meals are different from universal free school meals provided in all Tower Hamlets schools. If you are unsure if your child is signed up for benefits-related free school meals, please check with your child’s school. SAMA Centre is a community organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families through education, enrichment programmes, and community initiatives. Since 2018, SAMA has delivered a range of activities including Arabic and Islamic studies classes, homework and tuition support, youth programmes, holiday camps, and community events. Working closely with local partners such as Tower Hamlets Council and community organisations, SAMA aims to create a safe, inclusive environment where young people can learn, develop confidence, and reach their full potential while strengthening community connections.

St Andrews Youth Development Trust

At St Andrews Youth Development Trust, we are dedicated to supporting children and young people aged 6-18 in Hackney, Islington, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest. Our activities include delivering holiday sports camps for a variety of sports such as football, basketball, cricket, and hockey, led by our fully qualified and DBS-checked coaches. We also run sports programmes in local schools, providing both recreational and competitive opportunities. Our commitment to fostering positive behaviors and acting as role models has seen over 60 children attend our camps, and we have successfully helped many young people transition into adulthood by enhancing their life chances through sports and educational initiatives.

Since our inception in 1991, we have been involved in numerous community initiatives aimed at promoting civic responsibility, community safety, and social inclusion. Our organization has a proven track record of delivering sustainable outcomes, having provided competitive and recreational football to over 2,500 young people. We take pride in helping our players pursue major opportunities in sports, with many going on to join top professional clubs and represent England at youth level. Our efforts have not only enriched the lives of the young people we serve but have also contributed to a stronger, more cohesive community.

Tower Hamlets Leap Ahead is proud to deliver another exciting Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme for children and young people across Tower Hamlets.

Our Summer of Adventures 2026 offers four weeks of fun, learning and adventure, providing children with a safe, engaging and inclusive holiday experience. Every day is designed to feel like a holiday, with exciting activities, trips and opportunities to make new friends.

Vallance Community Trust

The Vallance Community Trust (VCT) has evolved from participation and activity around recreational and sports activities. 
The provision of services to young people, ages of 8-25 and adults in all areas of London Borough Tower Hamlets and surrounding boroughs, with the aim to develop a rich multi-cultural membership, targeting those who are unemployed, underachieving or excluded from school, and those who are socially excluded.
To provide a diverse programme of sporting activities with the intention of giving, particularly disaffected, vulnerable young people a sense of purpose, identity and achievement.
To promote diversity, harmony and co-operation amongst all communities and groups of whatever race, creed, gender, age, sexual orientation and to foster shared interests and goals.
To create a physically stimulating environment, which will channel energy and relieve stress.
To enable young people to bridge the gaps between peer groups from different backgrounds, areas and cultures.

Fish Island Support Hub CIC

Social Yoga is a community-facing yoga and wellness space based in Fish Island, Hackney Wick, operating alongside its Community Interest Company to reduce barriers to accessing yoga and other wellbeing practices. The studio delivers inclusive, non-competitive programmes for local residents, including regular community runs and Upside Down Yoga Club — a weekly children’s session for ages 5–11 that focuses on playful, mindful movement, cooperation, and confidence-building rather than performance. Social Yoga’s work is rooted in accessibility, care, and community connection, with experience supporting children and families from a wide range of backgrounds and needs.

Frontline Community

Frontline Community is a registered not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) (Company No. 16416819) delivering youth, sport and community programmes across East London. Based in Tower Hamlets, we are committed to creating safe, inclusive and engaging opportunities that support children, young people and families to thrive.

Established in 2024, we began as a grassroots football club and have since grown into a wider community organisation, delivering football, multi-sports, holiday programmes, mentoring, youth engagement and community initiatives. Our experienced team of qualified coaches and youth workers use sport as a powerful tool to build confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership, while encouraging healthy lifestyles and positive life choices.
