Description

Community Pantry & Family Support Hub Volunteer

Wednesday 5 August | 11:00am to 2:00pm

Join the Nourished Routes team as we support local families during the summer holidays through our Community Pantry & Family Support Hub.

School holidays can be one of the most challenging times for families experiencing food insecurity, with increased food costs and the loss of free school meals placing extra pressure on household budgets. Our Community Pantry aims to provide healthy food, practical support and a warm, welcoming environment where every family is treated with dignity and kindness.

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us create a positive experience for everyone who attends.

Volunteer tasks may include:

  • Welcoming families and helping them feel at ease
  • Setting up and packing away the pantry
  • Organising and restocking food and household essentials
  • Assisting families as they choose pantry items
  • Helping with children's activity packs and family resources
  • Serving refreshments where required
  • General support to ensure the event runs smoothly

No previous experience is necessary. Whether you can offer a few hours or simply want to make a positive difference in your community, we'd love to have you on the team.

At Nourished Routes, we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy food and compassionate support. By volunteering, you'll help reduce food insecurity, tackle health inequalities and bring a little extra hope to local families during the summer holidays.

Together, we can ensure every family feels welcomed, supported and valued.

We can't wait to meet you!
