Safeguarding is not about memorising policies or legislation. It is about having the confidence to recognise concerns, make good decisions and know what to do when situations arise.
This free, highly interactive workshop uses realistic scenarios based on situations that charities, community organisations, village halls and sports clubs may genuinely encounter.
Together, we’ll explore what you notice, what your responsibilities are and how you might respond. There are no trick questions or tests. The emphasis is on discussion, shared learning and building confidence, recognising that safeguarding situations are not always straightforward.
During the session, we’ll explore:
Whether you are completely new to safeguarding or looking for a practical refresher, you’ll leave with greater confidence in applying safeguarding principles within your own organisation.
Who should attend?
This session is suitable for trustees, committee members, staff, volunteers and anyone with responsibility for safeguarding within a voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation.
No previous safeguarding training is required.
Workshop: 1pm onwards
You are welcome to join us for lunch before the workshop, or arrive in time for the session to begin at 1pm.
