About the role

You'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with approx. 2-3 multi- skilled colleagues on each property, in a team of 9. Your work ensures that our void properties are in top condition and ready for new tenants. From garden maintenance, kitchen rip outs, managing materials by collecting and delivering supplies from partners like Jewson's, cleaning, clearance work, and delivering items such as kitchen units to different sites.  Your driving skills will also be essential in transporting materials, completing tip runs, and fitting key safes, enabling the team to work efficiently. Your work ensures our team can efficiently prepare properties for new tenants and help make our properties feel like home.

Skills and experience needed

Hardworking: A varied and hands-on job where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone who is dedicated and ready to tackle physical tasks of varying sizes.

Versatile in maintenance tasks: Experience with grass cutting, tree and hedge pruning, fitting/ removing key safes, and general property clearances.

Reliable and Efficient: Keep the team running smoothly by managing logistics and materials.

A team player: Able to work closely with colleagues and support the team.

Professional: You will represent Codi repairs on the front lines, interacting with tenants and ensuring high standards of work and professionalism.

Driving: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, this may be for an Automatic or Manual. An Automatic tipper van is provided for the role, it does also include a fuel card.

Pay and benefits

Time off and Flexibility   

  • The base is Cwmbran, covering a geographical area of South East Wales.

  • Working days are Monday to Friday days or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight.

  • 26 days holiday, plus Bank holidays. Rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.

  • Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks   

  • Paternity Leave: 3 weeks  

Money and Pensions  

  • The salary is £27,976 for a 40 hours per week permanent role.

  • Pension Choices: Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme with matched contributions up to 10%. Or, Defined Benefit (DB) 1/80th of final salary for every year of service. 

  • The successful candidate will need a basic DBS check in place, which we pay for.
